Although it has its own IC number, this nebula is usually imaged as the brightest part of the Heart Nebula, a huge nebular complex in Cassiopeia 6000 light-years away. The image here is a close-up of the central part of IC 1795, taken with a 10-inch Meade SCT and an SBIG ST-2000XM camera at f/8. Images were taken over a 2-night period from a location near Anza, CA. The final result is an H-alpha, LRGB composite of just over 8 hours total.
