Comet Lovejoy , as seen from the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, from the uruguayan "Buenos Aires Beach".  The picture was taken with a Canon 20D DSLR, iso 800, 2 minutes exposure, remote control shooter, an a fixed tripod, on the first hours of the 28th december. By then, the comet has faded a lot, but in previous days , we had many cloudy nigths over Uruguay. Alpha an Beta Centaurus are visible on the top of the image, and show the scale of the long tail of the comet, probably more than 20 degrees long. A wonderful sight !
