Jupiter, December 29th 2011 at 09:36 P.M. MST. My Father decided to set up his 8 inch scope, and I took this photograph while we were observing. The GRS is visible in the SEB, near the right limb. North is up.

 

Meade LXD55 8 inch, f/10 Schmidt Cassegrain telescope, with a Meade 8-24mm zoom eyepiece, @8mm. 250x.

Taken with a Olympus C-750 UZ. 1/100 second, at f/2.8, ISO 200.

Processed and cropped in Adobe Photoshop CS. The image is mirror reversed.
