Seeing was excellent on the 7th of January and
offered up a rare opportunity for Solar imaging. And the solar limb was
positioned perfectly for a really awesome show in our Hydrogen Alpha
Scopes.
Shot with my Lunt Solar Systems
LS60THa w/B1200 Blocking Filter.Camera is my trusty Canon 40D, using
EOS_MOV_REC to capture mono avi frames from the Live View feature of the
camera. Mount is a Losmandy G-11 mounted in a Skyshed POD.
I shot 1500 frames for each half of the image, stacked in Registax 6 and
processed the best 25%. Then I stitched the halves together in and
colorized in Adobe Photoshop CS5.1
