July-Aug 2011; Northbrook, IL (mag 3 sky, looking through Chicago light dome)

R 9x5min

G 12x5min

B 12x5min

Scope: C9.25 (235mm) at f/10 

Mount: Losmandy G-11/Gemini

Camera: QSI-583ws camera, -15C, all images binned 2x2

Images acquired w/ MaxIm DL 4 plus custom automation script written in Python.

Stacked in CCDStack2; Stacked in CCDStack2; then Ha channel blended into Red, somewhat into Blue

Channels combined and processed in Photoshop CS2

Cropped to show central region of nebula similar to famous Hubble image.
