Toward the upper left in this image can be seen brilliant Aristarchus and neighboring Herodotus illuminated by the rising Sun. Also, Vallis Schroteri can also be seen just above and adjacent to Aristarchus.
This image was captured with a Celestron 8" Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope and a Phillips SP 900 webcam at prime focus. A video was recorded at 30 fps, and the frames were then processed and stacked in Registax 5. Image taken on September 9, 2011 at 9 PM EDT by Robert Zaballa.
