NGC 5850 + NGC 5846

Spiral galaxy NGC 5850 sits to the upper left in this image. The other bright deep-sky object is elliptical galaxy NGC 5846, which lies 10' west-northwest of the slightly brighter spiral.

Taken through LB-0001: 24-inch (0.61-meter) RC Optical Systems Ritchey-Chretien reflector at f/8.0 with ion-milled optics on an RC Optical Systems Professional Series Equatorial Fork Mount, Apogee Alta U42 CCD camera
