Supernova 2011by in NGC 3972

Location: Aguadilla, Puerto Rico

Equipment: LX200ACF 12 in. OTA, CGE mount, ST2000xm, AO8, CFW9, Astronomik Lum only.

NGC3972 is located in the bowl of the dipper in Ursa Major. The supernova is located center top of the galaxy a binary type star and its companion turned super discovered late april in china. Currently at mag.13 and could get brighter.
