Solar Mosaic 5-8-11

In this 4-panel mosaic taken on May 8, 2011, you can see active regions 1203 & 1204. AR1203 is located near the bottom of the image with AR 1204 just above it. Around the bottom edge of the sun are a few prominences and on the surface are several filaments and plages. The white region to the upper left of the image is a new sunspot that is emerging but has not yet been identified.
