A wide-field view of the Sombrero Galaxy, 62 minutes total exposure. The galaxy is seemingly by itself in a large void. However, there are many small background galaxies visible. Two satellite tracks also pass through the view. A higher resolution version is available.
We used a 10" F/4 Meade Schmidt Newtonian on a Losmandy G-11 Mount, with a cooled Canon 400D DSLR. 267 x 14s exposures.
