Located 7600 L.Y. distant in the constellation Sagitarius, the trifid nebula is an unusual combination of an open star cluster along with emission, reflection and dark nebulae. Imaged 4/25/2010 from Mineral, Tx. Stack of four eight minute exposures at F8 with a sixteen inch Meade RCX-400, spectrum modified cooled Canon 40D, processed in Maxim DL and Photoshop CS2.
