Taken on 1-10-10 around 11:30pm (CST) in my backyard in Broussard, LA.
Nikon D60, 70-300mm zoom lens @ 300mm. A total of 30 photos were taken, each at 30 seconds exposure lengths, but due to tracking motor problems I was only able to keep the best 6 photos, for a total exposure time of 3 minutes.
The original photos were stacked in Registax 5 and processed with Photoshop CS2. This is a cropped version of the original photo to show some details in the nebula.
