This image was taken at 3:30 am August 12 2009, from Long Island, New York. The Shower had just begun and the moon was a waning gibbous. I was surprised that the meteor was visible with the moon that bright. Canon 40D Mod with a daylight filter, Canon 20mm @ f/2.8, ISO 400, exposure 20 sec., and camera facing east attached to a ADM 484 mini ball head adapter, on a Meade tripod.
