This image shows the Crescent Nebula which lies within the Constellation of Cygnus, The data for the image was captured on July 23rd of 2009 from the north end of Wellesley Island in the Thousand Islands region of NY. The final image is comprised of 17x 8 minute 800iso exposures using a self modified and TEC cooled Canon 350 XT. The imaging train used consisted of a SV80S, SV flattner and a CLS-CCD clip in , mounted on an Atlas EQ-G guided via a SV Aplanat, DSI and PHD software. The data was dark, flat and bias frame calibrated using MaximDL and post processed with PS CS2, full frame.
