The Lagoon and Trifid Nebulae (M8 and M20)

This image shows the beautiful emission and reflection Nebula of M8 and M20 located in Saggitarius. The image was captured May 30th of 2008 from Coyle Field, NJ. Imaging train consisted of an Orion ED80 running at 480mm via a WO 0.8 type II FR/FF, a Baader UV/IR cut filter, and a LP-1 filter. Mounted on a PHD guided LXD 75 using a SPC900NC webcam and a modified SV F60M finder for the guide optics. Imaging Camera was a self modified Canon 350XT, exposure consisted of 8x 5 minute 800 iso sub exposures and were processed using MaximDL and PS 7
