The third annual Pacific Astronomy and Telescope Show (PATS) occurred September 18–19, 2010. While I was at PATS, I talked to many manufacturers who either have introduced new products or who will be introducing them soon. And although not everyone was ready to chat about their latest and greatest, I did record representatives from three well-known companies describing their new products.
Brian Deis of Vixen Optics chatted about his company’s new inexpensive telescope, the Space Eye 70. This entry-level scope retails for $129.95.
Vic Maris of Stellarvue discussed the SV Raptor 105 Apo Triplet. This beautiful instrument for observers or imagers sports a carbon fiber tube and a 3" focuser.
David Nagler of Tele Vue Optics talked to me about the company’s new NP-127is Nagler-Petzval refractor. This model incorporates several upgrades from the previous NP-127is incarnation.
