The Seagull Nebula (IC 2177)

IC 2177 (Sh2-292, Gum 1, RCW 2, vdB 93 and many others) is a large nebulae complex which includes numerous other objects on the border of Monoceros and Canis Major. This image is rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise (north to the left).

This image consists of two panels, each made up of:

Luminance – 12x600s – 120 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

480 minutes total exposure – 8 hours

Imaged December 26th and 27th, 2016 at the Danville Conservation Area (New Florence, Missouri) with a SBIG ST-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT90EDT at f/6.7 603mm.
