The new “5 Questions with David J. Eicher” podcast will feature interviews with notable astronomers.

I’m proud to say that Astronomy Magazine has just commenced a new podcast — “5 Questions with David J. Eicher.” Every couple of weeks, I’ll be posing 5 Big Questions to a prominent astronomer, planetary scientist, or cosmologist, and the discussions will lead to some very interesting places.

I invite you to check out the first one, which is live now, and features the well-known UC-Berkeley astrophysicist Alex Filippenko. Alex describes his dark energy research, work on supernovae and gamma ray bursts, the welfare of Lick Observatory, and much more.

You can check it out here:

And stay tuned for more of these. Upcoming sessions will include Jeff Hester, Phil Plait, Carolyn Porco, Mark Boslough, Dan Hooper, and many others.
