About Victor C. Rogus
I moved form Chicago, Illinois to the backwoods of Missouri for dark skies. The transition has been a lot of work but the reward is a seemingly unnoticed pocket of extraordinarily dark skies over the counties of Dent, Shannon and Texas Counties here in Missouri.
I am a retired tool designer and maker. I brought my machine shop with me and use it now to build my own astronomical equipment, and that is a labor of love.
I have photographed the sky for nearly 30 years and was first impressed by Halley's Comet recounting stories my grandmother told. That event started my on a lifelong obsession with the sky and documenting the events I am lucky enough to participate in from an Earthlings view!
