A buncha noob books... and a pair of Pentax 10x50 PCF WP II binoculars with a 5.0 degree Angle of View. (We'll see how it goes.)
I live in the Tahoe basin, at just over 6000 feet. I'm not sure how observing in the winter is going to work out yet. We get a lot of snow here, but it does get dark.
