Amateur astronomer since 1969. Charter subscriber to Astronomy Magazine. Sabbatical from observational astronomy to armchair astronomy from 1976 to 1997. Volunteer Telescope operator at Mount Wilson Observatory from 2002 to 2007. Member of the Orange County Astronomers since 2000 and trustee 2005-2006. Member of the South Bay Astronomical Society since 2007. Volunteer with the JPL Cassini Huygens Saturn Observation Campaign since 2004. Volunteer with the Telescopes In Education Foundation since 1997.
Prolific in Astronomy outreach and education, I now lecture at local schools, museums and astronomy clubs.
