Recurrent nova RS Oph brightened approximately 6.4 magnitudes on August 8th, 2021. Original found on plates by Williamina Flemming (who also discovered the Horsehead nebula) in 1904, RS Oph has now erupted nine times. I measured this one to be at magnitude 6.064V after capturing the RGB for this ‘pretty’ picture.

RGB – 12x60s – 12 minutes each – binned 2x2
