TRIFID NEBULA IN HUBBLE PALETTE

It is situated approximately 5,200 light-years from Earth with an apparent magnitude of 6.3.
Complex nebula composed of an emission nebula (the bottom, red, a reflection nebula (the top, blue) and a dark nebula (apparent "gaps" in the emission nebula, which cause the trifurcarda appearance, these are also designated as Barnard 85).
