NGC 5746

NGC 5746 (UGC 9499, PGC 52665 and others) is an edge-on galaxy located approximately 95 million light-years away in Virgo. The brightness from the left is from 109 Virginis, a magnitude 3.71 star just out of the field of view.

Luminance – 24x600s – 240 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8:8:10x300s – 40:40:50 minutes each – binned 2x2

370 minutes total exposure – 6 hours 10 minutes

Imaged April 27th and May 13th and 15th, 2020 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
