NGC 6559 area

This image is centered on NGC 6559 (LBN 28 and others). It is located just to the east of M8. The field is filled with objects – over 1000 shown in Aladin using Simbad. Of note would be Sharpless 29, 30 and 31 along with Barnard 91, 302 and 303. The bright red area just below center is M 1-41 (PK 006-02 1, ESO 521-39 and others), an odd planetary nebula.

Luminance – 12x600s – 120 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

240 minutes total exposure – 4 hours

Imaged on July 10th, 2018 at the Danville Conservation Area (New Florence, Missouri) with a SBIG ST-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT90EDT at f/6.7 603mm.

I had hoped to capture M8 as well with another panel but good nights in the summer tend to be slim to none around here.
