The UFO Galaxy (NGC 2683)

This is an image of NGC2683, also known as the UFO Galxy. It is a filed spiral galaxy about 25 million light years away in the constellation Lynx. A field galaxy is one that does not belong to a larger cluster of galaxies.

January 18 - February 10, 2018
Location: Dark Sky New Mexico
Telescope: Planewave CDK-17
Camera: FLI PL16803
Mount: Paramount ME
Luminance: 26x20 minutes (binned 1x1)
Red: 10x15 minutes (binned 1x1)
Green: 11x15 minutes (binned 1x1)
Blue: 12x15 minutes (binned 1x1)
