Venus with cloud detail

I took this photo on May 31, 2018 at approx. 8:30 p.m. in Macon, Georgia with my Orion 127mm Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope using the Orion Deep Space Video Camera II using the Meade Variable Polarizing Filter with the Orion 2x Shorty Barlow attached. I have previously used a polarizing filter to cut glare on Venus for comfortable observing. Recently, I was pleasantly surprised to discern actual cloud features! So, I saved myself hundreds of dollars on UV/Ca-K line filters by using a simple, inexpensive variable polarizing filter to both image and observe Venus!
