Arp 104 (Keenan’s System, VV 33 and others) consists of NGC 5216 (UGC 8528, VV 33a and others) at the center of the image and NGC 5218 (UGC 8529, VV 33b and others) above it. Classified as ‘E and E-like Galaxies – Connected to Spirals,’ these galaxies are located approximately 135.6 million light-years away in Ursa Major.

RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2
670 minutes total exposure – 11 hours 10 minutes
Imaged over six nights in February and March, 2018 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
