Arp 165 (NGC 2418, PGC 21382, UGC 3931 and others) is an odd elliptical galaxy located approximately 234 million light-years away in Gemini. This one is in the “Galaxy with diffuse filaments / counter-tails” class.

RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2
360 minutes total exposure – 6 hours
Imaged November 24th and December 12th, 14th and 19th, 2017 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
