The Sculptor Dwarf

The Sculptor Dwarf Galaxy (PGC 3589, ESO 351-30 and many more) is a dwarf spheroidal (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwarf_spheroidal_galaxy) galaxy located approximately 261,000 light-years away in Sculptor. At -33 Dec, this galaxy was imaged from 18 – 25 degrees above the horizon.

Luminance – 18x600s – 180 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

300 minutes total exposure – 5 hours

Imaged October 14th and 15th, 2017 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG ST-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT90EDT at f/6.7 603mm.
