Arp 282 (the pair on the left side of the image) consists of NGC 169 (UGC 365), a seyfert galaxy above IC 1559 (NGC 169A and others), an AGN galaxy. Both are located approximately 319 million light-years away in Andromeda.
NGC 160 (UGC 356 and others) is the large, M81-like spiral on the right side of the image.
Luminance – 24x600s – 240 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2
360 minutes total exposure – 6 hours
Imaged over seven nights in September and October, 2017 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
