vdB 47 - A Closer View

van den Bergh 47 (HD 37387, Sharpless 243 and others) is a reflection nebula located in Taurus. It is approximately 1.5 degrees from M1.

Luminance – 26x600s – 260 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

380 minutes total exposure – 6 hours 20 minutes

Imaged December 23rd and 25th, 2016 and January 4th, 2017 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
