Mare Imbrium at First Quarter

Here is a composite view (two areas of the moon photographed separately and then merged into a single panorama) of Mare Imbrium during the first quarter moon on the night of November 7, 2016. The moon was 52% illuminated, making the craters and other features really stand out in this area.

Tech Specs: Canon 6D at prime focus of a Meade LX90 12” telescope, best 1000 frames of 3000 frames processed in AS!2, Registax and final edit in Corel Paintshop Pro (ISO 2000 and 1/400 second for each exposure). Image Date: November 7, 2016 Location: Weatherly, Pennsylvania.
