This is the closest approach of the moon to earth this year, it's also the Harvest Moon being eclipse by the earth. This was taken from Long Island, New York, after the clouds disappeared and the stars came out during the eclipse. Taken with a Canon 7D and Orion ED 80 at prime focus, ISO 800, 5 seconds.
