IC 4603

IC 4603 is a large, blue reflection nebula located in Ophiuchus. The nebula is illuminated by HIP 80462 (vdB 105) at the center of this image.

Luminance – 12x600s – 120 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

240 minutes total exposure – 4 hours

Imaged May 21st, 2015 at the Danville Conservation Area (New Florence, Missouri) with a SBIG ST-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT90EDT at f/6.7 603mm.

I also used my DSLR on top of the telescope to capture a wide field view of the whole Rho Ophiuchi Complex Area on March 28th:

Stock Canon T2i with Canon 70-200 f/4L USM at f/5.6 200mm iso1600
36x180s Exposures – 108 minutes
Field of View – 6.52 x 4.32 degrees
