Young Moon, 2 Jan 2014, 1h06m UT, only 13 hours and 51 minutes old

Thank goodness for clear, dry, transparent Arizona skies down to a very flat W - SW horizon. EOS T3, 1/30s @ ISO800, 80mm ED on a SkyView mount. Spotted with 7x50 binocs 12 minutes before moonset and then imaged. It's as challenging to find this young moon on the posted image as it was to find during the actual event. I can only imagine finding a younger moon than this and I look forward to the chance.
