I spent two hours photographing the area around the sun during the time of perihelion on Nov. 28th. I used Sky Safari on my iPad to give me locations of ISON. I set up the shot using solar filters, than shot with a remote shutter release. I used a very high aperture and shutter speed. I was able to capture many images what I think is ISON moving closer to the sun. This is the final image I took, and then there was nothing left to see. This picture is unedited. The special edition of Astronomy mag dedicated to ISON suggested it might be possible to view perihelion from the ground with careful precautions. I think I did it!
