The Elephant Trunk Nebula (IC1396b) in narrowband

IC1396, also known as the Elephant Trunk Nebula is an emission nebula about 3,000 light years away in the constellation Cepheus. This image was taken through narrowband filters (Ha, SII, OIII).

May 25 - August 8, 2013

Location: Rancho Hidalgo, NM

Telescope: TEC-140 (F7)

Camera: SBIG ST-8300M

Mount: AP900 GTO

HA: 18x30 minutes (binned 1x1)

SII: 18x30 minutes (binned 1x1)

OIII: 20x30 minutes (binned 1x1)
