Venusian clouds in ultraviolet

Sulfuric acid clouds can be seen in this image of Venus taken around 8:00 PM EDT on March 26, 2012 from Acworth, GA. A 70 second video was taken using a Baader Calcium K line filter with a Philips SP 900 NC webcam at 20 frames per second. Frames were stacked using Registax 6.  The webcam was mounted at prime focus in an 8 inch Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. Image by Robert Zaballa
