Teenage astronomy enthusiast Courtney Flonta of Virginia Beach, Virginia (here with League Vice President John Goss), is highly active as a promoter of astronomy outreach and the vice president of the Back Bay Amateur Astronomers in Virginia. She won the Jack Horkheimer/Smith Award for astronomy popularization.
