Bode's Galaxy (M81)

This is a picture of M81, also known as Bode's Galaxy. It is a spiral galaxy about 12 million light years away in the constellation Ursa Major. The imaging details are showm below.

 

March 3 and 4, 2011

Location: Rancho Hidalgo, NM

Telescope: TEC-140 (F7)

Camera: SBIG ST-8300M

Mount: AP900 FTO

Luminance: 18x10 minutes

Red: 8x10 minutes

Green: 8x10 minutes

Blue: 8x10 minutes
