This is Jupiter as seen through my telescope from my driveway, Montreal, Canada, on August 1rst 2010, 00h00. The four moons of the planet were easily seen all strait aligned. The sky was clear and stable. It was a pretty exciting night of observation.

130mm Neutonian (no driving clock) Nikon D5000 with a 2X Barlow, ISO 5000, 1/125 sec, Photoshop CS. The insert at the upper left was taken with a Celestron NexImage with a 5X Barlow, images stacked and processed with Registax. The lower left insert was taken with the Nikon D5000 with a 300mm onjective on a tripod.
