I took this afocal image of the 2009/12/23 apparition of the Lunar X with a 6" f/8 Orion SkyQuest XT6 Dob and a Sony DSC F-707 digital camera.  At approximately 7:30 p.m. EST (1:30 UT), the Moon was high in the sky and the Lunar X was quite prominent.  However, my wife and I were hosting a Festivus party that evening and I wasn't able to take any photos until the party was over.  By then, the Moon was quite low in the west so the shots didn't come out all that well.  This was the best one of them.
