I was checking for Iridium flare this weekend and found one that was perdicted to be mag -8. I decided that this could be an interesting flare to photograph and with luck I was able to pair it with the star Vega. With Vega at a magnitude of 0.0 this could not have been a better pairing to illustrate just how bright the flare became.
