Palazzo Pitti

After lunch on Wednesday, we saw yet another Florentine palace: Palazzo Pitti was built beginning in 1458 and was used by the Medici, briefly explored by Napoleon, and then adopted as a royal palace for the reunited Italy. Now an art museum, the building houses astonishing collections.
