Florence Baptistry — Battistero of San Giovanni

The Florence Baptistry, or Battistero of San Giovanni, is the oldest existing structure in the city, having been commenced in 1059. The octagonal building holds the famous bronze doors created by Lorenzo Ghiberti and Andrea Pisano.
