I purchased my first telescope about seven, maybe eight years ago, but my love of astronomy started when I was a child of eight and made my first pinhole viewing box out of a cardboard box to watch an eclipse of the sun. I come from a family of ten children, and trust me, I was a lot happier being outdoors watching the stars than being in the house with nine other kids. Today I am a successful professional, yet I am an infant when it comes to astronomy. But i'm still out in the backyard trying! PS: The original Star Trek will always be the best!
