Orion and Canis Major

By Frank Garcia.

This is composite of 2 photos taken from my light polluted back yard in Broussard, LA. With a Foggy-B filter in place, the brighter stars of Orion and Canis Major are accentuated making the constellations easily identified.

Photo details:  Taken on 10-24-09 at 0200 CST (0800 UTC).

Camera details:  Nikon D60, 2 photos, 15 second exposure time each photo, ISO 1600, F/4.5, lens set at 22mm.
