I took this tripod-mounted picture of the unforgettable Comet Hale-Bopp in April of 1997 with a Pentax K1000 SLR camera, a Pentax 50mm lens, and Kodak Royal Gold 1000 film. The exposure time was about 30 seconds. The location was a friend's private observatory in south central Pennsylvania.
