    Striking Ring Cloud over Moscow

    Here is a link to the video of this cloud formation caused by refracting sunlight.

    It was quite remarkable and has sent several UFO and Independence Day buffs into a tizzy.  For the rest of us it is a beautiful demonstration of the continually surprising things that nature can come up with.

    I said just yesterday that its amazing the things people are capturing on video, and digital images in the skies these days. Just think of all the things we use to miss before we had all these cameras pointing skyward. Thanks for sharing the link Bill.

    I saw that this morning on MSN. That was really cool looking. I wish I could see clouds like that more frequently around here.
